Hotels in Niagara falls on a budget

When you find one would you let me know.....:rotfl:

We're going in August and everything we are finding is $199. or above and I don't even pay that when I'm on the ocean somewhere. For just a couple of days there, I've blowing the budget bigtime.

Some recommendations that I have seen on this board previously are the Marriott and Embassy Suites.

We stayed at the Country Inn and suites last June on the Candaian side. I don't remember how much it was but we got a suite and it had good reviews on tripadvisor.com. I wouldn't have paid too much for it because I"m kind of cheap!

Are you looking at Canadian side or U.S? These are all on the Canadian side.

I have stayed here and it was good:

We have stayed here and enjoyed it, but it's more money

We love this one when we can get a good deal, they usually have some sort of deal or package that suits us.

We are thinking Canadian side and I priced out Country Inn and Suites - seems it like 450/2 nights.. I'm gonna find a few good places and then Priceline or bid on them. Hopefully get a good one.

I'll look at these links ;) Thanks!!!

We are only going for 2 nights - -- leaving NY, Long Island, 8 hours to drive at least, so I'm hoping to get their very late at night - so to pay 200.00 for the first night kills me, but I don't wanna pay a cheap cheap rate and
have a 'dumpy' place ;)

:cheer2:

We've also stayed at Days Inn by the Falls. As PP mentioned it is a block from Clifton Hill. It was fine, close enough to walk everywhere we wanted but far enough away from the noise that we could sleep.

I live in NF, NY (used to live in NF, ON). If you select hotels that are further than a walk away from the falls, they are sure to be much less expensive. In NF, NY there are a bunch of new hotels (EconoLodge, Holiday Inn Express, and..can't think of the other one) that are on Niagara Falls Boulevard. They are about 4 miles from the falls near the outlet mall.

Oh boy!!!

I just won a bid on Priceline for the Crowne Plaza in Niagara Falls for this coming weekend.

I've read the reviews and some of the rooms are very VERY TINY!!!
Some have mentioned you have like 12 inches from the bed to the wall.

What have I done!? lol

Any one have any reviews on the Crowne in Niagara??

PS i feel sick to my stomach now LOL, thinking that I made a mistake and this place is going to be a 'dumpy' place.

Comfort Inn on the Canadian side - reasonable, close to attractions and includes free breakfast.

The free breakfast is nice....was there last week and spent over $50.00 on breakfast and lunch alone for 1. Ate at Ihop and had the French toast and it was 15.99 and had lunch on Friday a chicken finger plate not at a hotel restaurant and it was over 20.00 (25 with tip and water!)

Stayed at the Marriott for business and paid 275.00 a night. Good luck, would like to bring the wife here sometime, but need to start saving!

Well- this is not a budget hotel, but we stayed at the sheraton fallsview, and it was TOTALLY worth it. I would rather spend fewer nights with an incredible view of the falls than more nights without one. We were able to watch the fireworks over the falls from our room. My DH says that when we go back there he will never stay anywhere else. The view was really amazing.

try ratestogo.com I have used them twice very easy. They have hotel rooms in different cities and Niagra falls canada is one. They are discounted prices but the dates are 21 days out and less. Hotels vary

how do you guys travel to the falls? we are in east tenn and flying is super $$$$ out of this areaand I know driving would be a killer...anyone do amtrak or other?
