Hello all!!

My boyfriend and I are going to Disneyland on June 15th (staying overnight on the 14th as we're coming from Vegas) I desperately need some help picking a good hotel! I was going to book within resort (because I'm a CM, I get discount - but even with the discount, the Disney hotels just seem ridiculously expensive. Plus, I'm gonna have to ring up America to book it through the company. The phone call alone will probably cost me £50 :lmao: and I'm sure we can spend that money elsewhere!!)

Are there any hotels with views of the castle? Or any hotels that stand out for any seasoned travellers to Disneyland? Unlike WDW, where I know tonnes about the right hotels and locations, here, I'm totally blind!!

Please help!

Tracey x

How does the PPH look with your CM discount?

The only reason I would stay onsite is because of special perks that may help with crowds.

Offsite is so much cheaper though. Try looking at these.
Park Vue Inn
Best Western Park Place Inn
Candy Cane Inn
Hojo Anaheim
Ramada Maingate.

Tracey, not sure if you're aware, but the reason it's expensive for the onsite hotels and possibly even other ones close by is that June 15th is the rumored (not confirmed I don't think?) opening for Carsland. Just an FYI...

Hotels with views--

You know, there are not really any hotels with views of the castle. (Disneyland is different that Disney World in that respect--our castle is much small and located in the middle of the park, so it is very hard to see from outside it)

I think if you want a view, then you want a hotel (motel) across the street on Harbor Blvd. The view will be of the entrance and Monorail, although the Monorail is tarped over right now for re-tracking. These hotels would be:

Howard Johnsons (hotel with indoor cooridors and great views of DL--pay for a Disney facing room and you will be gauranteed this view). You can watch the fireworks from your room, too. We like the top floor--7th.
Carousel Inn
Fairfield Inn (you can also reserve a Disney view room here)

There are a few others, but they are lower floored properties, so the views may not be very good.

If you want a great view of California Adventure (Mickey Wheel, world of color, etc....) then it is great to stay at Paradise Pier if you can afford it. You can reserve a theme park view room.
