Hotels.com question

Is there any disadvantage to booking Royal Pacific through Hotels.com?

I have a bunch of Amazon gift cards I want to use and this was the only way I could figure out how to do it. I'm definitely open to other ideas too.

I used a free hotels.com night when I stayed at Royal Pacific in September. Our family still received our expresses passes, and I can't think of any downside we encountered.

The only negative comes if you are a You First member. You don't get credit for a stay when you book through a third party dealer.

I am a You First member, bit this is only a one night stay. I think I'd rather get the savings? hmmmm

I think I read that if you need connecting rooms, third-party booking cannot guarantee the connecting rooms. That might not apply to your situation, but for others that might read this post...
