Hotels.com/Expedia booking windows

How far in advance are rooms bookable on these sites? Looking to book/find prices for next summer but sites say no rooms available. Also, any other good sites for room only bookings?

Usually 10 months, sometimes 11 is common for many hotels.

Trivago.com is my preferred hotel booking site as it combines sites like Expedia and Booking.com
