I know we're not off for 15 months :( but it's all I can think about lol

So was wondering if anyone can recommend a hotel near Gatwick with a family room. Was thinking of the Hilton but pricing a family room from the Virgin brochure is just waaay too much me thinks!

Thanks

Ang

we always stay at "lowfield Farm" 5 minutes away from the airport, family room and parking, weve just come back from a 3 week trip and it cost us £85,full english breakfast,or you can pick what you want, curtesy transport to the airport.
The chap who owns it is very nice(mike),as is his wife who used to be on cabin crew with Virgin. A very short distance away is a nice country pub, with great food, where you can sit outside in the gardens.
We always stay here, and is booked already for our trip to vegas for next year.
They do have a website
www.lowfieldfarm.co.uk

On our two previous visits we stayed at the Cambridge in family room. Although it was room only and fairly basic it was reasonably priced and is only somewhere to rest your head the night before.

We are staying at the Thistle hotel which is near the Airport and it includes 15 days parking on site. Also booked this through ABC holidayextra.

Hi Ang (& everybody else :D )

For me, where to stay at Gatwick is a choice of two hotels depending which terminal i'm flying from.

If flying with Virgin (i.e. South Terminal), i stay at the hilton. And if flying with BA (i.e. North Terminal) I'd stay at the Le Meridien (mind you, i've never actually done that yet).

Its just so much easier to be on site, especially if you've got kids and if you're planning to twilight check-in with Virgin.

Thanks for all your suggestions..........off to do some price comparing :)

At this rate I'll have nothing left to keep me occupied for over 400 days cos everything'll be booked

we always stay at the Ifield Court Hotel which is offsite and family run. It has free car parking for the whole of your holiday and has a courtesy coach to the airport which is about a 10 minute journey away.

The rooms are £80-90 for a double and a bit more for a family room but the rate does include a full english breakfast in themorning.

They don't have a website but their phone number is 01293 534807.

Perhaps they will give me a discount if I recommend enough people!
