It was about a week before I received my confirmation as well. It may depend on what resort you have booked. You can always call them directly and ask to find out about your reservation.
Here is a recent thread on HotelKingdom reviews. Alot of people have tried them, and were happy with their ressies.
I have used them a few times with no problems whatsoever. If you are concerned I would just call. I have had to call and speak to reps over the phone before because my travel dates were within 48 hours and I found them to be very helpful and courteous.
I booked last week for a hotel in NYC, and never got my confirmation, so I called and they had no record and said to rebook. So I went to the website to rebook and the rate went up over 200.00 per night!! Now I know why they never received the 1st request. I was so mad, but they wouldn't honor the original rate. I will not use them ever!!!
I used Hotelkingdom.com last week for two seperate bookings - 1 room at HRH and one room at RPR. Both for the nights of 4/16 - 4/18. The HRH one went off without a hitch and I received a notification in email shortly after. However, the one for RPR acted strange when I submitted so I tried one more time and same thing. I didn't recieve any confirmaton so called Hotelkingdom the next morning. They had no record in the system for my RPR ressie but did have my HRH. I suspect their server was on the fritz when I initially tried for RPR as it did work fine when I booked the following morning.
I plan on calling RPR and HRH directly at some point to verify. Does anyone know when it gets into their system from Hotelkingdom? Based on waht I've read throughout these boards all should be fine but I'd hate to be surprised when I check in and find they can't find me in their system.
Travellady--I made my ressies with Hotelkingdom directly by phone. I did received my email confirmations within 5 days and then called the hotel directly with some questions I had. They had me in their ressie system by then. I always doubled check all my reservations no matter what, I learned that as a valuable lesson one time when I didn't. Don't want any more surprises. LOL
I phoned holidaykingdom last night and they informed me that they had no record of my booking so I rebooked the same hotel (cypress pointe) with them over the phone,I was given a number ,everything seemed o.k.Approx 3 hours later I received a phonecall from a very apologetic lady who told me that hotelkingdom were not able to accept my booking as the resort was sold out.I tried to persuade her to give me The Cypress Pointe Grand Villas for the same price $63.99 excl tax per night.no such luck!I ended up booking the Amerisuites in LBV at about 2a.m. this morning,I got a rate of $43 per night for a double double with pull out sofa. How did I do?
I am also staying at the Amerisuites for 1 night. I think they look nice. I am pretty sure you can use the nicer pools and mini golf that is part of Calypso Cay. It says they have a bountiful breakfast.
