Is there such a place? I'm helping someone who wants to go to both Disney and Universal and wants a hotel with free shuttle to both. They are too young to rent a car (21, and don't want to pay the higher fees for the few that will rent). They do not want to split the stay between hotels.

Any help is really appreciated! :wave2:

most places have free to one or the other.

either the US/IOA and Sw shuttle is free - or there is a WDW shuttle that is free.

I can't name one off the top that has both for free.

I will look around.

Wait, I found one! The Radisson Worldgate has a shuttle to all the parks!

If anyone knows of any others, please feel free to share, it's always good to have a few back ups!

Just keep in mind..when using shuttles from Orlando area hotels. Some have their own schedule, they only go to certain parks on certain days, or they only drop off and pick up at certain times. Just because the resort says it has free shuttle to the parks..doesn't mean the shuttle service is going to be convenient.

Friends of my daughters stayed out in town..they ended up taking a cab most of the time, costing them a ton of money because the shuttle schedule was horrible.

I think Nickhotel and the Rennaissance. They're likely to get poor shuttle service and to both parks. I'd go with a Disney value, or DTD hotel for good Disney shuttle and then just pay for the Mears shuttle to Universal.

Thanks! I did warn my friend about the shuttle schedules. The Radisson is a Disney Good Neighbor hotel so the shuttles to the Disney parks should be okay, I'm just worried about the shuttle to the non-Disney parks. I'll sugest to her that she keep Mears number handy and if the hotel's schedule isn't do-able, to just give Mears a call. She's trying to do this on the cheap, though so I doubt she'll use it. It's a shame car companies won't rent to those under 25 (or if they do it costs an arm and both legs).

Thanks again everyone! :wave2:

NO--Good neighbor hotel means they sell Disney park tickets. It has nothing to do with the reliability or frequency of their shuttle service.

I think they'd be happier in a Disney Value, if they can get a good rate, and just paying for a Mears bus to Universal. The money they're saving with the ME transfers will more than pay for the Mears shuttle to Universal.
