Hi there! We are heading to WDW in January and will stay off-site 1 night prior to checking into our Disney hotel. Any fun or kid-friendly hotels, maybe with an indoor pool? It doesn't have to be super close to Legoland since they don't open until 10 a.m. and we are early risers. Since it will be Jan and the weather is always iffy, I thought a place with an indoor pool would fun for our boys (ages 4 and 7).

Thanks!!

There are very few indoor pools in Orlando, but almost every hotel heats the pools during the winter. I did find the Courtyard Marriott has an indoor pool. This Ramada also has an indoor pool, but be sure to check for resort fees, etc. which may increase the price.

Honestly, I'd just look for a fun, heated pool and not worry about the indoor part. My kids swam when it was 50 degrees outside... and then ran to the room once they got out. In the water, it wasn't bad.

Thanks for the info! I figured that there would be few indoor pools in the area. I hope to find a fun hotel for the kids with a nearby fun restaurant. Surely we'll be able to find something that fits the bill.

Definitely check out the Ramada on west 192. It's not a "resort" by any stretch, but a decent hotel in a decent area with an indoor pool. Tons of restaurants nearby, not a bad drive to Legoland (take 192 to 27, going away from Disney traffic).

Would you know if this happens to be the Ramada that use to be Wilson World? I'm going back many years. We stayed at WW in 1987 and it was great then. I was looking for it last year and found it was now a Ramada, but it had awful reviews so we didn't bother to book it. If you've stayed there, could you update me please. Thanks!

I can vouch that the Embassy LBV and the Courtyard at the Marriott Village both have an indoor/outdoor pool. Its one pool, half inside and half outside so they DO close the pool for lightning still.

Stayed there for a few nights in 2007. Nothing fancy but was clean and comfortable. Lots to do in the area. Indoor pool was nicely heated. My nephew (11 at the time) loved that I took him swimming at 1am when he couldn't sleep.

The Marriott World Center has an indoor pool. When we stayed there, my dcs thought it was the greatest thing they had ever seen-- we live in FL so indoor pools are really not the norm for them.:goodvibes

I'm a yearrround swimmer, and I can vouch that indoor pools are hard to come by in South Florida. I searched and searched for a hotel with an indoor pool on a recent trip to Clearwater. None to be found. Wound up missing my laps as I spent all my time on the road nature watching.

I do enjoy getting in the pool after a long day at the parks, and if we stay offsite, I will definitely be looking at these hotels as possibilities. Thanks for the info!
