Hotel upgrade & DDP

I also posted this thread in the UK forum, but thought I'd ask here as well as I figured the rules on the UK site probably isn't different from the US one.

We've booked CBR for our upcoming trip in September, but I'm expecting a little bit of extra cash this summer, so I'm tempted to upgrade to a deluxe resort. Has anyone done this? And does it affect the dining plan at all? Our current booking is with the free QSDP, but I'm not sure how it works with upgrading the hotel if it's not offered anymore for this year. Will we loose the QSDP all together if we upgrade? Or will we get to keep the current one or get the full DDP?

I love the idea of trying a deluxe resort, but the upgrade is expensive enough as it is, so I don't want to upgrade if it would mean that we have to pay for all of our food on top of it.

UK packages are different than those offered in the US. In the US, if the package is no longer available to book, it might not be possible to keep the free dining when changing resorts though sometimes Guest Services can make it work out. You’ll have to call to ask what your options are.

As lanejudy said, UK and US packages are very different so you will need to contact whomever you booked your package through to see what modifications can be made.
