How does one get to a hotel near port canaveral , and from the hotel to the port? Are there shuttles between the airport and hotel//and then the hotel to the port.

What hotels are closest to the Port?

If you are going to stay at a hotel near the port, you can use Art's Shuttle, Tiffany towncar, happy limo....there are lots of private car services.

DCl only runs buses to the port on the days that a ship is sailing. So you could possibly hook up with one of these if you were spending a few days. For example, if you come in on Sat. and are sailing on Sun. This could be possible because the Magic sails on Sat. HOWEVER!!!!!!!

WARNING!!!!! If you would want to do this check with DCL, especially since you don't want your luggage to take an unscheduled trip on the Magic when you will be traveling on the Wonder!!!!!

Hi Musicgirl,
A rental car was the way to go for my family. We decided we wanted to do a little sighting seeing of FLA before our cruise so we are coming in a day early and this ended up being more convenient (also less expensive than the town car and limo deals) for us. We willl pick up the SUV (we rented what we drive at home....Ford Explorer.....so we know our luggage will fit) at MCO. The next day we will turn it in and at Budget and take Budgets shuttle to the port. Upon our arrival day , I will arrange for Budget's shuttle to pick us back up and return us to their lot where we will pick back up our rental car to drive back to MCO. This way for us ended up being less expensive , although some may find renting the 2 cars a bit of an inconvenience Hope this helps you some

Mandymommy, we usually don't like to mess with renting of a car, like you said the inconvenience of the pick up/drop off. Since we've been to Orlando a few times, we really just like to hang out at Cocoa Beach.

From Art's Shuttle for roundtrip airport/port/airport we paid $100 plus tip. I know it has gone up some, but it really was a pretty good deal. Then the $15 taxi plus tip. So our transportation for the 3 of us was around $140.
