Hotel Swimming pools - opening hours

Am I correct in thinking that the Sequoia swimming pool will only be open from 3pm? Also if its nice weather do they open the outside up?

Was sort of fancying a swim just after lunchtime but this doesn't look like it is going to happen?

The pool at NPB was open 3-10 this week. We queried this and were told all hotel pools were the same as people didnt use it earlier so there was no need to open it earlier.
We think its to save on staff as 3-10 means one shift for life guards whereas if it was open earlier it would mean 2.
The outside pool was open some of the days but not all despite the weather being so hot (again staffing???)

I'm a bit annoyed about this as we picked a hotel with a smimming pool with the intention of using it in the early afternoon, if it was very hot, then a bit of a sleep so my littlest two will make it to the parade. As, having checked the weather forecast, it appears it will be 32 degrees most of next weekend this would have worked out quite well.

It doesn't say anything in the brochure or on the website about the opening hours being so odd and we were going on it being like the Holiday Inn which managed to afford to have the swimming pool open all day despite being a lot cheaper.

Yes we werent pleased either as when we stayed at SL last year that was open longer which is why we queried it and were told all the Disney hotel pools are the same now and dont open til 3.

We had to queue for nearly 15 mins one day to get in at 3.00 as loads of people were trying to get in

When we stayed at the Sequoia Lodge (22 - 31st July) the pool didn't open til 3pm every day, the outside pool was open as it was so hot. We only found the opening times out by walking down there at half past 2 for a swim only to be told by someone outside that it now only opened at 3pm.
We stayed at Newport Bay last year and used the pool everyday as a break from the parks, this time we didn't, sounds daft as we were there such a long time but it's how it worked out, we used to get back lie on the bed and fall asleep!!
