Hotel Sugestion near Legoland?

We were wondering if anyone had a good experience with a cheap hotel near Legoland? Were hoping to go there the first day (Saturday) and then spend the rest of our time in Anaheim.

We did a priceline bid of $61 and got the really nice, brand new, Holiday Inn Marina in Oceanside. It was awesome. About 10 min away

There is a Marriott Residence inn right down the street - if you have AAA those are generally reasonable and very safe and nice area. There are outlets right around the corner from LegoLand too if you are so inclined.

Closer but pricey...Grand Pacific palisades, great pools, ocean views, walk to Legoland thru opening across the street, save on parking when you stay here. The Sheraton has a private Legoland entrance, again saving on parking it is newer but they are both pretty new. Next to our house in Vista is a new hotel on South Melrose Drive, a block from Palomar airport road, a Marriott Townplace Suites it is brand new, on the corner near Sycamore and melrose. It's a 10 minute drive to legoland. These are within walking distance to the flower fields and outlet malls if you like to shop. They have a Rubios at the outlets, my favorite...
There are 2 hotels on the south side of palomar airport road also, Hampton and Holiday Inn Express, near El Camino Real as the cross st. and ask it to find hotels on the map, they are across from the airport.

This might do someone good even though you are back from the trip!
