Hotel snacks

I need some ideas on snacks for the hotel & van ride. I have bought the children lots of "special candy", but need ideas that we can all share. I bought Gold Fish the other day at Walmart. They come in a sand bucket with a frisbee as the lid. I figured we'd probably eat those in the van. I'm gonna pic up poptarts & those little mini chocolate chip muffins (I LOVE those!!). I think I'll also get some bread & lunch meats when we get there. Any other ideas? No Hurry, We've got 32 days until we leave. But, who's counting?

I forgot that I also bought juice boxes for the kids & 24 pk of Deer Park water bottles. The water was only 3.99 at foodlion. They were on sale & I had a coupon.

I've really been starting to think about food too. I've been picking up some things for the past two week while at the grocery store. Things on my list....

pop tarts
Nutrigrain bars
fruit snacks
cereal variety pack
apples
grapes
slim jims
chips (variety pack)
can of nuts
cookies (I bought a variety pack at Wal-Mart that has mini oreos, chocolate chip cookies and nutter butters)
water
capri suns

That's about all I've thought of so far. I think I'll head to Sam's and check out their snack section.

My kids also like small bag/boxes of rasins, and Cereal in ziplock or snack bags. Dried fruits in small amounts are also good, and well as peanuts. I love to make up a little home made trail mix with rice chex, pretzels, rasins, MM's, peanuts. The M&M's are fairly good for not melting, but you could also leave them out. Right now my kids love that Reeses Cereal. If you have acces to a cooler, I love the carrot sticks, and the cheese/ crackers(or peanutbutter/crackers) are also good. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the idea! I picked up some little boxes of raisons today. I think I'll get some little snack baggies for cereal too.
