Hotel Royal Plaza

Hello, planning on going to WDW this year for a post cruise trip. Have reservations at Hotel Royal Plaza for a rate of $40 through priceline. Has anyone stayed at this hotel and what was your opinion of it? I understand it is a older hotel and is near Downtown Disney. Thank you in advance.

HRP is a nice Downtown Disney hotel. I've been there twice 6/77, and 12/01. The rooms are large. Housekeeping was fine. We had turndown service everynight (and enjoyed the chocolate 'pineapple' candy!). Everyday housekeeping left a rubber duck for our DD4. The lobby is very nice. Our room had a private poolside patio. The busses that serve the parks actually are nicer than the Disney Resort busses, however, they don't run as often as Disney's. You can walk to Downtown Disney. Be aware, there is a $7.00/day resort fee. However, for $40/day I think you're getting a bargain! Have a great time.

We stayed there last August, and while it is an older hotel, it has been updated and is very nice.

$40 is an incredible rate--I think you will be pleasantly surprised!

Thank you for your responses. When I bid on priceline I wasn't sure what I would get for a 3* hotel and when this came up as the winning bid I couldn't find many experiences with it. You have reassured me that I didn't make a mistake.
