Hotel Royal Plaza temporarily closing?

Just saw on another website that Hotel Royal Plaza will be closing temporarily through Feb 2005. Was this a scheduled rehab or hurricane damage?
 
Hurricane damage. Apparently a lot of the building got hit hard.
