Hotel Room Size/Tickets/FOTL

Ok. I am putting together a trip for Aug 14-?? (yes, next week). I have decided to stay on property a few days for the FOTL. So, do I have a park ticket and the room key? I am going to get the 7 day ticket for $95, and just wanted to understand how it all works.

Also, we are a family of 5, and the room description for royal pacific says it hold 5. But how? Is there a small sleep sofa? Or a trundle?

Your room key serves as your Express Pass. You will get a room key for each person registered in the room. There is a sticky at the top of the page that some of us put together that will give you more details about the Hotel FOTL and how it works.

When you go to the parks, you will bring both your park ticket, which will get you into the parks and your room keys which will serve to get you into the Express lines.

For the 5th person at RPR, you will need to rent a rollaway or bring an air mattress.

5 people are allowed in the RPR rooms, but there are only beds for 4 people in the double queen. The rollaways are $25.00 per night.

You take your room key with you to the parks, there will be an express line, you'll have to show your room key to the TM for everyone in line that is with you. You will also need your ticket to enter the park.

RPR, from what I have seen and understand, if you have 2 queens, that will accomdate 4, then you'll need a rollaway, unless you can get a sleeper sofa. I hope I had that right. I never stayed at RPR.

Your ticket gets you into the parks, your room key gets you to the front of the line (actually the express entrance). One doesn't work without the other, you can't get FOTL without a room key unless you pay extra and you can't get into the park with only a room key, you need a ticket.

No sleeper sofas at the RPH in the queen rooms. There are only sleeper sofas in the deluxe queen rooms at the HRH and PBH.

Exactly what I was looking for.

Since we are driving, an air mattress and sleeping bag should be perfect.

And FOTL will completely spoil you.

We are long time Disney fans, and this is our first trip to Orlando that ventures off of Disney property. The FOTL (effectively a permanent, unlimited fast pass) is what convinced us to give RPR a try.

if the 5 of you are of average size and you don't have any littles with you, rph is going to be tight if you have a rollaway in there with you.

if the other 2 hotels have decent rates, you might want to switch if you need more space.

did you check on the website to get the room sizes?
it might help you.

but, on the other hand, if you are not going to spend much time in the room, it doesn't matter what the size is....

if you bring an aermattress, have housekeeping give you extra sheets, blankets and pillows for it.

the standard room at rph does not have a lot of closet space for 5 people to store their luggage. but,if you are not going to be in the room much, it will do.
throw the aermattress on top of the bed so you don't have to deflate and inflate each day.

We are still on the small side (kids 8,11,13), and quite honestly we could problably fit in the two beds. Just so the information is part of this thread, the room is listed at 335 sq ft, and the floor plan looks like there is enough room for us. And we don't spend any time in the room other than sleep/get ready to go.

To give you some more perspective on what we are doing, this is an add on to a 4 day cruise, so anything has more space than the cabin on a ship!!

you are so right. you will do fine at a standard at rph with the aer mattress then.
