I have read about people booking a throwaway room for one night to receive the EP benefit for 2 days. I can see this working if I am staying at a non US/Loews resort. Would this work if I were staying at CBBR for 3 nights and also made a reservation for the night in the middle of my stay at RPR? I am not planning on switching resorts and using the room at RPR just the EP. I know at WDW they do not allow duplicate reservations and will cancel one.
We will be at US 8/22/22 - 8/25/222 and I am leaning towards staying at CBBR with a military discount for easy access to Volcano Bay. CBBR also has better food options than the other resorts for my family. We went to US in 2015 or 2016 and my DS does not have any interest in most of the attractions at US/IOA, he is not a thrill ride person, but would prefer to spend the time at the pools or Volcano Bay. My DH and DD love thrill rides and HP and would also go to Volcano Bay so I want to make sure that they have enough time to do everything they want.
On our prior trip we stayed at RPR so we had EP's but we still had long waits for a lot of the attractions where they were accepted. We liked RPR except for the food options. I am really torn trying to decide between CBBR or RPR for this trip. I want to pick both for different reasons. Does it make sense to stay at RPR if we want to go to Volcano Bay every day? Thanks for any help.
