The In-laws are drivng down to Disney in Feb. and are looking for a nice hotel off I-65 in Montgomery, AL? Any recommendations? They usually stay in Courtyards or Hamptons, but anything nice would do. Thanks!

They would do well to take the I-65, I-85 exchange over to the east side of town for a good hotel. The west side of town where I-65 comes through is a bit 'rough'. It shouldn't take them too long, and then if they are traveling down by 231 S, the 'East Blvd', or Eastern Blvd, (we call it both names), comes down as part of 231S. The eastern blvd, and I-85 exit have several good hotels there. if you google a map of Montgomery, I-65 comes down on the west part of Montgomery looking like the flat side of the capital letter 'D', and I-85 cuts right through middle Montgomery, to the other side of town, with The North Blvd, the Eastern Blvd, and the Southern Blvd, making the curvy part of the letter 'D'. Then in southeast Montgomery, the East Blvd, and the south Blvd, come together where 231 S. branches out again and goes southeast. Now Prattville north of here also has a few hotels at their southern most exit (last before Montgomery). Right on the interstate and a little bit better area than west Montgomery.:) Once you have looked at a map, just ask any questions, and I'll be happy to answer.
Good luck

We stayed at a Courtyard by Marriott in that area several years ago and it was a nice hotel.

There is supposed to be a new Drury Inns and Suites that just opened in Montgomery. You might check out their website and see exactly where it is. I really like Drury Inns. Great breakfast. Comfortable beds.

We've stayed at the Embassy Suites Hotel & conference center on Talapoosa & Commerce Streets. It's right off I65, has an indoor pool for the kids and was clean.

The Embassy is nice, and it's about the only nice one downtown.:)
Also, the Drury Inn is at the exit on the East Blvd that I was talking about. Luckily there are several nice hotels there.
