Anybody have any suggestions for reasonable place to stay in Dec. If you have been there what about parking. Is it better to pay a bit more for a place where I can walk to everything, or go with a cheaper place further out, and maybe have to drive and try to park? Do the hotels offer shuttles?
Any tips on reasonable places to eat also?

We prefer to stay in walking distance and leave our car parked. And I just love the Bed and Breakfasts.

Here is where we have stayed: http://www.keylimeinn.com/

December is when the prices go up in Key West, so you'll be spending a little more to go at that time (depending on what time of the month, I think it's still a little cheaper the beginning of the month).

And here's a restuarant DH and I fell in love with: http://www.conchrepublicseafood.com/

Tiggeroo,

A great, inexpensive seafood place is the Half Shell Raw Bar - it's located on the waterfront at the main docks in Key West.

I wish I had a suggestion on the accomodations. Parking is at a big premium anywhere around Duval Street, so you'll definitely pay more if you stay right around there.

If price isn't a consideration, this is a wonderful place, right on the water, at the end of Duval Street:

Price is a bit of a consideration. What we are looking for is a clean room, where we won't be spending a ton of time. A pool would be nice too.
