I actually posted a question regarding the Holiday Inn earlier this morning before finding out about the age limit being 21. However, does anyone know of any hotels in the Orlando area that are accessible to Disney and Universal but allow check in at age 18?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

i didn't know you had two threads going sportzboy.
i answered your other question on the first thread you had.

it could be an ordinance with orlando to use the 21 age for check in.
i know of many states that only if you are 21 or military can you check in a hotel. meaning, an adult has to be the one for the booking.

you could do a google for your questions to determine if this is a hotel chain policy, county, city or state law for check in age in florida.

According to that minimum age is 18. I have stayed there before, price is decent and its not a terribly bad place to stay. I would check with the hotel to make sure the information is accurate. Check expedia, hotels, and travelocity I am sure you can find more. But I would check with hotel specifically before booking anything.

Jonny, i looked at that link.

that check in age is for that hotel only.
some of the upper chains do have a specific age allowed for check in.

Yeah I knew it was only for that hotel. Most hotels I see are required 21. But that is an example that it does look possible to find one for an 18 year old. Like I said before though call the hotel direct and make sure you will have no problems. I actually stayed at that hotel twice and while the beds are no super comfortable, the rooms are clean and I believe both times I found for under $50 so the prices were good. It is one of the few hotels I have found in that price range with a hot tub. Also stayed in kids suite second time and nephew loved the little room with the bunk bed.

Shop around on the hotel sites for a good spot for wherever your going, not sure if you will have a car that may be a problem but it sure looks like its possible just keep searchin.

from what sportboy has said in past threads, he is in high school and won't have a car to go to universal.

therefore, he needs to stay near by.

my one suggestions to the teenager is to call the hotels and ask if they will book and let a teenager do the check in for the hotel.

some places might allow a teen to check in but they might need a credit card on file.
if a place has damages, they can recoup the cost more easily.

my 19 year old son went thru that before and an adult had to make a guarentee w/cc for the room.
spring break is always a parents worry.......

the teen needs to check aound for prices and if there are any restrictions for underage check in.

he can google places in the area and then call if they don't have a minimum age listed for check in.

i mean, what a miserable trip it would be to book a room and not be allowed to check in after planning a super trip with other friends....
that alone would be a real heartbreaker....
