Hey all, its time for me to start searching for rooms again! We stayed 5 days at Cabana Bay in September and paid $560 through Undercover Tourist. Today I looked again for the second week of February and I'm getting a quote of $1,100! Am I too far out to get the good rates? APH promo code on the Universal site only showed the SMSM rate of $156 a night.

Any tips on getting that better price?

I can say that rates for the hotels have all gone way up since last year and the year before that and so on. (Just like Disney). It's awfully hard to buy into double what you've paid for before for the same room type. I can't help you read the future of promotions, but I'd definitely keep looking for them, as you never know. Good luck.

It may also be the time of year. I have paid around $100 a night at CBBR for a standard room (APH) in the past. The last weekend in Feb the APH rate is $174 for a poolside room (no standard rooms available currently for a short weekend trip). If I stayed longer I could get a standard room, but the weekend rate is still $164 while weekdays are $134.

What type of room did you stay in for your Sept Stay? Was it a standard room? You're right when I say look at a reservation for Second week of Feb (Say 10th to the 16th) it does come to around $1100

BUT, that is for a Family suite (as it looks like standard rooms aren't available), and it's bridging onto Presidents day weekend which is more expensive on that weekend for those nights.
