Hotel outside of Disney

Trying to decide on possibly an outside hotel, we were going to stay at Coronado, but we have our own car, wondering if Buena Vista Suites, Double tree Univeral, (we are not going to Universal), or Swan and Dolphin are good

My kids want those animal things Disney makes with the towel though, dont think they do that

How long will your trip be? IF you are at least doing a few days, a condo at WH may be good - some have Disney themeing that will counter-balance the need for animal towels. And it's only around $100 a night w/ resort pool. Just a thought.

What is your budget? The Swan and Dolphin offer the best location and are deluxe hotels. You do have to pay to park your car, though.

If you are just doing Disney, I would go that route or just stay at another on-property hotel unless you have a very tight budget or need more space than a traditional hotel room.

3 days Disney and 3 Sarasota, I tried the Swan and Dolphin they were actually booked

Wyndham Bonnet Creek, Waldorf Astoria and Hilton Bonnet Creek are all on property, but not Disney owned. We got a great rate for a 2 BR at Wyndham ($120/night). They are next door to Caribbean Beach Resort.
Mousesavers frequently has good rates and specials on non-Disney hotles that are still convenient. Good luck!
