Hotel on the way to Disney World?

We're traveling in October and considering going the day before our Port Orleans Riverside stay. To do that we'd need to find an inexpensive hotel on the way. Looking at the map we'd be going through Daytona and taking I4 on in. I'm sure I could google a hotel off the interstate but would love to hear some recommendations from those that have done this before.

I'd like it to be cheap but a decent hotel that isn't in a bad area.

Thanks.

No thoughts?

OK, I googled and really didn't come up with much close to DW. I did see a Best Western in/near Daytona. ~1 hr drive. Not too bad and got decent reviews.

Any other ideas?

one time, i did some research on priceline options and found the westin in lake mary at a good price. it's only about half an hour to 40 mins from wdw.

i'm sure there are a lot of options, though...depends on what you are looking for...

We stay at Fairfield Inns (Marriott) during our travels and have never been disappointed.

Free Wi-Fi, breakfast and parking. Clean and safe. Usually around $100-120 a night. You can get a AAA discount.

Another vote for Lake Mary. Relaxing environment, with plenty of dining options within walking distance (and a good Publix too).

The Marriott or Westin in Lake Mary are both nice. But honestly, if you're going to be that close (even if you're considering Daytona), you may just want to consider adding a night at Port Orleans, if you're budget allows.

I just booked the Fairfield right by Downtown Disney the night before we check in. It has great reviews and includes breakfast. I got it for $95.00 for the night. I found a additional discount on Disney neighborly hotels that was better then my AAA discount. Good luck.

Try looking at the hotels in the Marriott Village. There are three, Courtyard, Faifield and Springhill. They are less than 10 min from wdw and usually priced under $100/night.

I don't know if you're wanting to stop in Daytona, or stop closer to Disney so you can check in at POR earlier they next day. But in Kissimmee, about a mile from the WDW property, is a really affordable Clarion that gets great reviews on TripAdvisor.com . I book it for my clients often, and they always say good things about it:
