Can anyone give me any info on MIC Lakeside/ now Wellesley Inn Hotel on I.Drive, will be staying there shortly. Also, what is the transport like from I Drive to WDW. We are first timers to USA and no one wants to drive.

Thanks

Jan,

I do not have info on the Wellesley Inn on I-Dr, only replying because you stated you are hesitant about driving being new to the USA, but I will say that the traffic on I Drive is usually pretty bad. If you are only doing WDW then I would recommend staying in the Hwy 192/Irlo Bronson area or CR 535 area if you are staying off site. I Drive is closer to Seaworld or Universal Studios but I can not re-iterate enough how crowded I Drive to me seems to be. I personally avoid that area altogether.

I do not have any experience with the hotel you are referring to, sorry. Just wanted to reiterate what cinamin27 has said. I-Drive traffic can be horrible, especially if you are not familiar with the area/american driving styles. I would suggest that if you are visiting the Universal Parks to use the curtesy shuttle from the hotel (if they have one). It is possible they may also have shuttles to the WDW parks. If that is not the case, you can consider taking a taxi or town car service to transport you (although this will no doubt become expensive). It might behoove you to look into getting a hotel in an area which is considerably closer to the WDW theme parks. Again cinamin was correct to say that hotels located in the 192 Kissimmee area or the 535 area would be much closer to WDW, and most will have curtesy shuttles. Good luck and feel free to ask any other questions.

Thanks to Disney845 & Cinamin27 for you replies, hope someone else has some info for me.

Thanks again, I don't think we will be driving, especially on IDrive .
