Guys, I need your help. Family and I are driving down to Disney on 4/16 (long drive from NJ - we were going to stop on the way, but will now drive straight through instead) We are looking for a clean, decent price hotel near Disney to stay in Wednesday night before we check into the Swan on Thursday - any Ideas? Thanks!!!

Hmmmm...I once stayed in "the largest Howard Johnson's" on west 192. It was quite clean and perfectly adequate for an evening's rest. It was really inexpensive, as well.

The Comfort Inn at Lake Buena Vista is usually running a walk in rate ($49. right now). It's plain and serviceable. Would work for a one night's stay.

I'd avoid places like Master's Inn, Knight's Inn, Best Inn, etc.

Hope this helps a bit.

I found a HoJo's a few miles away:

Howard Johnson Maingate Resort West
Property Address: 8660 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy

Only $46.00 a night with AAA. This should be fine for a 1 night stay. Hopefully it is clean

DVC~OKW~96 Thanks for the reply!

Check these 2 sites: www.go2orlando.com and www. orlandoescape.com. They will have hotels really cheap. They are mostly, Day's Inn, Best Western's and Howard Johnson's. Once in awhile the Marriott Courtyard will pop up for $29.99 a night. Most of these room will be in the $20-30.00 range. They are mostly on 192 and are major chains. They won't be a deluxe room like at Disney. But most are clean and modern.

Just went to Howard Johnson Maingate EAST in Feb. for 8 nights. It was very good. Nothing Fancy But, Very inexpensive, clean bed, hot shower and just a few minutes from WDW.
