Hotel new york

We have booked to go to DLP march 2016

We know BTM and Peter Pan will be shut for refurb, slightly disappointed but we are going to Florida this year so not too worried.

Does anyone one when hotel New York is meant to be shutting for refurb? And will the whole hotel be closing? We have booked to stay here and unable to find any info

Someone mentioned the HNY being refurbished in this thread (http://www.disboards.com/threads/disneyland-hotel-refurbishment.3401937/#post-53486372) but not when...

I'm sure if you've booked to stay there then they can't turn around and say "sorry we're closed" - maybe I'm wrong, I'm not sure how these things work

A date hasn't been set yet but they have decided currently to close the whole hotel when they do, they are still refurbing the Newport bay so nothing will start until that is at least finished

Last I heard the HNY refurbishment has been pushed to Oct 2016 after the DLP Marathon. The original contractors who were scheduled to carry out the work went bankrupt while they were working on the NPBC, its one of the reasons why the NPBC refurb has dragged on so long.
