Any recommendations for a hotel near the airport for our last night? I have no clue! I've only been to Orlando once and stayed on property.

We just need a place to sleep. We'll be in MK all day then checking in that night and our flight leaves the next day at 3pm.

Any help would be great thanks!

We simply did Priceline for a room. You can pick the location around the airport. We got a 4* hotel for $50 for the night. It was walking distance to Hooters or cheap car ride across the way to other restaurants.

If you are looking for the cheapest place - using Priceline or a similar site probably is your best bet.

Do you have status with a hotel chain or prefer to pile points up with one chain?

That said - I like the Staybridge Suites, which is just north of the airport (same area as many of them are located). They have an evening meal (if you get there during the week and during meal time) and it is nice to have a suite to get a little privacy from the rest of the family.

I don't necessarily want cheap, was planning around $100-$150 a night, just wasn't sure what was around there. I am a member of Wyndham rewards, Marriott and Hilton Honors.

I will look into staybridge. There are only 3 of us and it's our last night so don't really need much! :)

Thanks for your help!

We have stayed a couple of times at the Embassy Suites MCO (30K Hilton points)

for the same reason it was our last night and we had a flight the next day.

Last time I stayed at the Hampton Inn (20K Hilton points)

There is practically every Brand Hotel in the MCO area.

Add the words near MCO airport if searching for a particular Brand Hotel

example Holiday Inn Express near MCO Airport

We picked the Hyatt on our next trip, mainly for convenience. Having to wait for a shuttle or hire a cab after a long journey is the last thing we'd like to do!

We have stayed at the Embassy Suites and the Hampton Inn and suites by the airport. Would stay at either again. I like to stay at Hilton for the points.

I have a similar question...

When a Hotwire/Priceline hotel shows "airport shuttle", is there any way to find out when that shuttle runs? We may be flying in late (landing after 11pm) so would we be able to catch an airport shuttle that late or will we need a cab? If we'd need a cab, how much does that run? The plan would be to return to MCO in the morning via the hotel shuttle and take DME to AKV. It will be a LONG day for me so I want a hotel that is close to the airport. I'd love to stay at the Hyatt again, but this time, the budget just isn't going to allow me to splurge on a $200 room that I will be in for about 8 hours.

I believe all hotels with a shuttle runs 24/7. Beware some may run on a lighter schedule. If that is important to you, maybe Priceline/Hotwire is not your best option?

We've stayed in the hotel in the Orlando airport-Hyatt-because we had a very early flight one time & another time my daughter had a 3 day conference in the hotel. It was not that expensive & the best part of it - at least to me - was that the bellman takes your luggage with you right to the airline check in! Not having the drag our luggage thru the airport made it worth it to me. It's just my daughter & me. And the food court and shops are right there so I could poke around during her conference.

You could book one night at a Value resort on a cheap rate and then take DME to MCO, no? Plus, if your airline is one of the RAC airlines, you'd be able to check your bags at your resort.
