Can anybody recommnend a hotel (reasonably priced!) near to St Pancras?

A Travelodge or Travel Inn will do but I would like it as close as possible.

We are going to need to stay somewhere the night before we go and the night we come back so don't want to be paying a fortune - just need it to be clean and safe as it is for me, DM and DD.

It will be in January so we need to travel up the night before by train from Norwich as we don't want to be worrying about bad weather stopping us from getting to the train station in the early hours of the morning.

We will be staying in the King's Cross Travel Lodge, which is £49 for a family room in January.

We've stayed in the ashford travel lodge and found it to be suitable, although nothing special.

Thanks UK Stitch- did you book that somewhere on the internet - or did you book it with Travelodge direct.

We haven't booked it yet, but that price comes from the travellodge website direct.

Just thought I'd add, Travelodge are doing a sale of winter rooms from December to February at £9 each, stars tomorrow from 6am, maybe worth a look and see if any available

I've just booked a £9 room. Thought I'd try pricing it up ready for the morning and lo and behold it offered me a £9 room.

I haven't even booked the trip to DLP but at that price it won't matter if we can't go!

Hi Silverka2002 - can you tell me what room you tried to book and the date? I'm only getting the £49 room and just wondered if its becase I've got a child with me and its coming up with a family room?

I tried a variety of dates in December at the Kings Cross, Kings Cross Royal Scot and also the London Farringdon, all had some availability at some point for family rooms at £9.

We've not booked our holiday yet so was going for a number of dates as we can be flexible

Thats great, I wouldnt stay at the Kings Cross Travlodge, Is stayed there last year and its really noisy as your on top of the train line, we found it difficult to get to sleep. I think the other two are in better locations

And I thought £100 from Premier Inn for a family of 4 was a good deal! I need to do more research in future!! :rotfl2:

I must be really thick! The Travelodge website is constantly busy and on the odd occasion when I can get through to it I'm putting in either Kings Cross or London Kings Cross in the hotel selection and it is saying there are too many to list please refine your search???? Does anybody know if the hotel goes by another name or does anybody know the Postcode?

Thanks

When you do the search and you start typing London in, it puts a drop down box with the London travelodges on it, Farringdon is one and also Royal Scot, on the details it does say that they are walking distance from the station (both KC & St P)

Thanks for the info about Kings Cross, my little boy sleeps bad enough as it is so that might be too noisy for him.

We stayed at the Royal Scot on our last trip, and the room was nice and quite and does a cooked breakfast too. The hotel is only a 10 mins walk from Kings Cross / St Pancras International.

Travelodges £9 a night offer for bookings between December - Feburary is making their web site very slooowwww.....

Here is the address:
