We are going on vacation to Marco Island in a few weeks and I am looking for a good , prefer on a beach somewhere- hotel for our last night. After being at Marco, we'll drive up towards St Pete since our flight leaves at noon the next day that way we won't have to rush around. Anyone know any good nice hotels in that area -maybe within an hour or so they can recommend?? We stayed at Hilton Clearwater before- what about Ft Myers, how far is that from PIE? Or maybe Bradenton.

Just down the beach from the Clearwater Hilton is the Clearwater Beach Hotel. It's on the beach and has FREE lounge chairs and shade in the sand. I go there several times a year and it's my fav beach hotel. They have a website clearwaterbeachhotel.com, you should take a look.
