Hotel Near NASA

We need a one night stay at a hotel within 30-40 mins. of NASA. We would prefer a newer hotel....they just seem to be cleaner and nicer. We don't want to spend a lot. It must be a Non-pet, non-smoking hotel due to allergies and asthma....I saw a new Holiday Inn Express in Palm Bay?? It looked to be about a 35 min. drive. Anyone have any suggestions or experiences to help???

Just a heads up about the shuttle launch on Feb 24 and trying to book a hotel near the Cape. Cocoa Beach/Titusville hotels are completely booked up and surrounding areas such as Melbourne are very limited. One hotel chain had a special "package" which involved you having to book a minimum of 5 days around the launch dates. We ended up booking at Bahama House on Daytona Beach ( terrific resort according to Trip Advisor by the way) and will drive the 48 miles to Titusville on Launch day! If the launch is delayed which regularly happens, we will have to drive over to the coast from Windsor Hills! Traffic will be unreal due to the fact it is the last daytime shuttle launch! Your best bet is to check out Trip Advisor for the best rated places and then give them a call directly to check availability. Good Luck!

We aren't going for the shuttle launch. This is a June trip. Sorry I should have been more specific. I have checked Trip Advisor and found the Holiday Inn I mentioned in the post. Thanks for the input, though!

If NASA gets the additional funding, there is a shuttle launch scheduled for the end of the June.

Our dates are mid June...well before the launch. I wish we would be there for the launch!!
