Hotel Near LAX for one night

Since I just booked my airfare for late June, as an east coaster my flight arrives around 11pm. That's 2 am for me the day I arrive. I don't really want to drive (with 2 kids) very far when getting in, so I was hoping to get a cheap hotel room near the airport for the night we arrive. Anyone have any recommendations for cheap 1 night room? Clean and safe are my only requirements

The lowest price I've seen is the Hawthorne Plaze within 2 miles from LAX. But I know nothing of the west coast.

El Segundo is maybe two minutes from LAX and there are a few hotels there in a safe area. There's also a really nice Ralphs grocery store where you can stock up on snacks and stuff

Cheap motel 1/2 mile from LAX:

Try Priceline, 4 stars or 3 1/2 stars, LAX zone.

I'll vote no on Hawthorne.
