Hotel near airport?

I realize I'm talking about a long time away but I'm a planner and I want to have time to research and watch for deals. My two kids and I will be staying on site from Nov. 26th through Dec. 3, 2004. We're flying and I'd like to fly in the night of Nov. 25th for a couple of reasons. One is that it will be Thanksgiving and the airport and plane hopefully will be pretty much empty, the other is that we'll be able to get a lot more sleep and spend the whole day at WDW after we check in on site than we would by getting up at 3:30 in the morning on the 26th to get the earliest flight into Orlando we can.
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a not real expensive, I'd like to keep it around $50 or less, hotel near enough to the airport that they have a shuttle. I'll be paying for a town car the next day to take us to WDW so we can take advantage of the grocery stop but don't want to have to pay for one twice and I really don't want to have to deal with a taxi in a strange town, late at night with two kids either. I also don't want to add one more night to our WDW reservation because I'm trying to do this trip as inexpensively as I can while still giving us the most magic I can.

I would suggest that you stay away from the Howard Johnson's near the airport. We stayed there the last night of our trip because of their free shuttle to the airport. If we would have had longer reservations, then we would have checked out immediately.

The room smelled horrible. There were stains all over the walls (some looked like urine). There were dead bugs on the floor. The door did not fit its frame, so we had to stuff the gap with towels to keep out the bugs and noise. Our 8:00 wakeup call came at 5:00.

They were doing some remodeling, so maybe the hotel has improved, but we will never stay there again.
