we have booked to to go away in July and are stopping in a villa with friends who had already booked. They are getting there a day later than us. We are looking for a hotel or motel that is clean and tidy but nothing more for the first night. we do not need a pool or anything. we will be getting there about 10 pm with two children and just want somewhere to have a bath and sleep as we will be out early the next day. We also don't need any meals. Has anyone got any suggestions. the 192 area would be good as we were close to there last year and know the area and the villa is also up there so we would not get lost.
Thanks
Lisa

We were just going to arrive and find somewhere but I believe immigration want to know where you are stopping the first night so to be safe i would rather book.

Friends did this recently as they could not get in their villa until the next day, they stayed at the Radison I think it was near Kissimmee.
They said it was a lovely hotel.

Hi Lisa

SInce it i only one night, have you thought of using something like hotwire.com or priceline.com? They are very reasonable price-wise and, since you are only looking one night, it doesn't matter if you "gamble" a little...

Have a look at http://p070.************/fpricelineandexpediabiddingorlandowaltdisneyworld fpr information on Priceline bidding - there are a WHOLE lot of descent hotels on offer for $40/$60 (that is £25/£35!) a night in Orlando (including Disney's All Star Music and the Sheraton Safari...)

Also have a look at http://www.betterbidding.com/index.php?showforum=14& which gives tips and information for booking on Priceline and Hotwire.

Haven't personally used Priceline, but I have used Hotwire a few times (including getting the Hyatt at Orlando International Airport for $55 for a night!).

Good luck
Boo

What about the Hyatt Regency at MCO? Straight off the plane and into the hotel!

We seriously considered doing this in April, but it's an expensive one-night bolthole. I think if you want to try getting it through Priceline or Hotwire, it's fairly easy - it's the only hotel at Orlando International which doesn't have a shuttle service.

What about one of the All Star resorts or Pop Century? Depending on when you're going, you could pay as little as $79 for a room and you'll be right next to the 192.

That is what we did (as above) and got it for $55 - well worth it (there normal rates are about $200).

If you look at the bidding sites I mentioned above, you can get one of the All Star resorts for about $40 through Priceline.

Why not try one of the hotels at LBV?? We paid £200 last year for 8 nights at the Courtyard by Marriott.
It was lovely, free wireless internet access + balcony!!
That was through:

You'll not be stuck for choice!

That's a good idea - we might need a hotel for one night next year if we decide to head down to Vero at the start of the holiday and what a better place to lay your head than Disney :thumbsup2
