Hotel Kingdom Lowered Rates after Booking?

I booked with Hotel Kingdom and then they lowered rates, so I phoned and she said that she'd email me a confirmation of the change but I haven't gotten any such email. Do any of you have experience with the prices lowering after you book? Is it better to just cancel the current reservation and rebook? I've heard they aren't that speedy with the refund of the downpayment so I hate to do that and have to wait on the first down payment to get back in my account. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I book through them alot. Everytime the price would go down, I would just email them and they would send me a new confirmation with the new price on it. Usually the same day or next.
