Hi

We are trading into the Orlando area for the week before Presidents day and I've decided to add some days to our trip. Started checking around for hotel rates for the 4 days Feb 14th - Feb 18th which is peak holiday weekend. Cypress Pointe comes up for $63.99 for a 2 bedroom villa per night. It says nothing about a timeshare promo and DH will be returning home when our first week is up, therefore wouldn't be able to do a tour with me. Does this seem right to those of you familiar with Hotel Kingdom (which I'm not)? I'm a little apprehensive to book and then find out we'll need to do a tour and then possibly pay a higher rate.

Thanks for any info
Jenn

Oh, yes, it's possible! I was quoted that price for the one bedroom during Christmas week!!! And that was for the Grandvillas! The rates you quote come back New Year's week. I wish I could go then!

Hotel Kingdom has great rates for Cypress Pointe, both properties. The only downside is they expect the entire amount pre-paid, which is not the norm with the other properties on Hotel Kingdom. This is not bad considering the rates are so affordable.

I'd pay the extra $25 per night and go with the $89 rate that Hotel Kingdom offers for the CP GrandVillas - they are newer and in better shape. We recently stayed there and really enjoyed all the space and ameneties the villa had to offer.

It looks like the Grandvillas are sold out 14th thru 18th but I did book Cyrpess for $66. I really can't trade cheaper than that! Now, I need to find out more about the property!

Thanks,
Jenn

I stayed at Cypress with my family last Christmas and our place was great. We had no complaints!!Nice and spacious and having the kitchen and washer/dryer were so nice!! I hope you have as good of an experience with them as we did. Have a wonderful trip!!

where is this place located? how far of a drive to WDW is it?

Thanks,
Trena

We've haven't stayed there....YET.....but are planning to in Nov 2004!

The Hotelkingdom rates are very good - but are genuine. If you do a search about Cypress Pointe on this site you'll find a lot of info - I've yet to read a bad one to be honest!!!

From what I have read, although it IS a timeshare place there is NO hard sell - if you say no, there's no pressure or price increase....although I have read that they offer 75 disney dollars if you go to the 90 mins presentation....as I say, do a search and you'll get this type of information first hand!

With regards to location....it's just two blocks north of the Crossroads Shopping Center and the 'Hotel Plaza Boulevard' entrance to WDW, just off Appopka Vineland Rd - which is a great 'sneak route' for Universal that avoids the I4 and I-drive!!!

We're just waiting for the comfirmation of our return flight - should be early in the New Year - and then we'll be booking 3 weeks at Cypress Pointe with hotelkingdom - THAT's how confident I am that its a good deal!!!!!!

I say GO FOR IT!!! ::yes:: :wave2:

We just got back from 8 days at the GrandVillas, first night through HotelKingdom for $88., the next 7 were through skyauction. They linked our reservations so we were able to stay in the same unit for the whole time. The only Disney park we did was MK, and it was a very easy drive on the I-4 west, probably 10-15 mins, max. We went back to the hotel in the evening for heavier jackets and it was about 50 mins from the time we sat our butts on the monorail until we were back in the apartment and had eaten a light supper! Total travel time including monorail, people mover and drive back was about 30-35 mins. I've certainly heard of people staying at the AllStars with that travel time for monorail, buses, etc.

Just Booked our vacation through Hotel Kingdom at CPGrand villas End of feb. Can't beat the price and the space.

Go for it and enjoy your trip!

Does anyone have any recommendations for which rooms to reserve though at grand villas? near volcano pool??/
