in Kissimmee will be featured. The hotel is rated 2* by Expedia. It earned 3.5 stars on trip adviser. It's ranked 79 out of 162 hotels in Kissimmee.

Based on the coming attractions the hotel doesn't look very good. The Disney area is overbuilt. I'm interested in seeing if Anthony can do anything to help the hotel to survive.

Anthony takes credit for converting the HI Family Suites to the Nick Hotel.

I wish he would convince the owners to fix it a little.

I think I've seen this show once when he saved a boutique hotel in Miami's South Beach. But I can't remember what network. Don't think it was Travel Channel. Discovery maybe/

We watch the show every week! Can't wait to see if this hotel is one that can be saved. There are so many choices in Kiss why anyone would pick a hotel in the bottom of the reviews is beyond me!

To stay at any hotel on 192 in Kissimmee you either have to know the hotel or do some good research. The whole area has become too sketchy to just stay there on a whim when you can choose other hotels in the Lake Buena Vista area or surrounding areas in and around International Drive, which overall are much better options than most of 192.I've seen every episode of Hotel Impossible and no matter what renovations he does to this hotel there's just no way I would stay there no matter what because it's on the east side of 535,which is not an area I would even consider. From 535 west the area gets better as it gets closer to WDW and west of WDW they've even opened a good amount of stores and restaurants that's really helped the area. With that said you still have to be pretty selective of any hotel you choose in the area. There's some really good places west of 535 like the Comfort Suites Maingate east, they just opened an Embassy Suites on 535 just north of 192 and these are two very good hotels. Then you have a lot of middle of the road hotels that are probably pretty decent but not perfect and a good amount of older hotels that can be decent or pretty bad.Lately I've stayed a couple of times at the Maingate Lakeside resort just west of Sherberth rd which gets you in Disney property in less than 5 minutes and overall the rooms are not bad at all and usually have ice cold A/C which lately has been a sticky issue with me at much more expensive hotels.I don't like paying $80-$90 on Hotwire for a room that goes for $130 on their website and you get there and you can only lower the A/C to a certain point which is still warmer than my comfort level affecting how good I sleep.I taped this episode of Hotel Impossible on my DVR and I'm going to go check it out,but like I said it's west of 535,a strict no no in my book.

Shows you what kind of hotel you should expect at that price range and location.

Any hotel which regularly sells rooms below $50 /night (I'm not talking about PL/Hotwire or special promotions) isn't generating enough money to maintain their property.

PP is right. 192 E of 535 has a lot of "sketchy" properties.

I knew hotels/motels on US 192 had gone down since I was a child in the 70's and 80's, but this place looked like skid row. Its no wonder they could only charge $39/night when you had to share your room with bed bugs, ants, and roaches.:scared1: Not to mention the sketchy characters in the neighboring rooms.:scared: I'm glad Anthony and his crew were able to clean up the place, but I think I'll stick with staying in Disney properties or near-Disney, like Bonnet Creek, or Hotel Plaza Blvd.

On the show they showed a guy who was living at the hotel who didn't have a credit card and couldn't keep staying there since Anthony made the hotel start to require credit cards to check into rooms. This made me think that most actual visitors staying there either have no internet or credit card and/or don't plan at all and don't have the money to get anything better than $40-$50 a night.I mean I've booked hotels that go for $200+ like the Rosen Shingle Creek,Rosen Centre or the new Hilton on I-Drive for as little as $55-$65 on the discount sites and nice hotels like a Hampton Inn or a Comfort Suites in the good tourist areas for as little as $30 at certain times. That's why the reality is that this hotel even with Anthony's help has no future, the area is bad, businesses are closing every day and no one wants to stay there. The only hope is the total redevelopment of the area where maybe a major attraction or shopping center buys up a bunch of properties and the area around it redevelops replacing closed businesses with new hotels, restaurants and stores. It can happen as the new Embassy suites that just opened up is literally on the edge of where the area really starts getting rough. One of the best hotel chains out there opens up shop maybe others will follow.
