I'm planning on going on a trip with my cousin, his wife, his wife's brother, and his wife's brother's girlfriend. So there will be 5 of us total. We are going on May 22nd - 24th (Memorial weekend). We are trying to find a hotel for a pretty cheap price (and decent inside) that is close to the resort. I've already found one for $119 a night at the Tropicana Inn. One of the main issues as well is getting a rollaway so that is a must. Any advice on other places?

HoJo has good deals and its really close. I think I saw something about suites on their site but I can't remember. I know Peacock has suites and it decently priced. It isn't too far away either. Good luck!

Try hotels.com, Jas. We usually find really good deals there and unlike bidding on Priceline or using Hotwire, you actually know what hotel you're getting. We used them to find our good rate at the Menage.

I'm assuming Hojo isn't having the Entertainment Rate, right?

Did you check the one that I told you my friend and her family stayed in last July? The Del Sol? It was inexpensive and clean and had a little breakfast thingy. It can't have been far from DLR because she had her young boy and her elderly mom with her and they would not have been up for a long walk.

Jas, we will be at the Peacock that weekend. They do have some decent sized rooms there, you may want to check. Not sure of rates, we are using points. :) We have to at least say HI when we are there!!!! We are getting in on the 23rd so we will have 2 days there at the same time!!! :)

We have stayed at Hotel Menage twice and absolutely loved it! They have the nicest pool of any hotel I have been to in the area. My friends and I are in our early 20s and found that hotel to be very nice without having to listen to little kids run around screaming every night :-)

The rooms are fantastic and the service and price are great too!

Thanks everyone for the advice!!

Unfortunately there's no entertainment rate available when we are there. Otherwise, I'm definitely working on looking at places depending on if we can get a deal through the military per my cousin :)

Keep checking back fo entertainment rates, they could become avail closer to your dates.

My dates at the HoJo May 3-6 have been sold out for a while. This morning I checked just for kicks and low and behold not only did they have a room available but the entertainment rate to boot.:woohoo:

It does not hurt to keep checking back.

Thanks for that advice I just called and was able to get the ent rate for 1 night and the 15% for the other 2 saves me $$$ I would have spent for a farther hotel!

We have stayed at Tropicanna and its neighbour Carousel Inn and prefered the Carousel partly due to the bigger rooms. An extra bed at Tropicanna would have been tight....

I'll definitely check the prices for that because room is what I'm worried about as well.
