Hotel Help Needed

Personally, I have stayed at the Hyatt Regency and really loved it (my kids especially loved our room which had a separate bunk bed room) but the distance from the park is a deal-breaker for that many nights. I would go with the Anaheim as it is the best location and has the pizza restaurant downstairs. For a multi-day vacation, being able to trek in and out on foot without dealing with Uber/shuttle/etc. is way worth it. Shuttles are a no-fly zone for me and I usually use Uber but using Uber at the end of the night for pickup at the Harbor drive exit can be a total nightmare.

We are trying to figure out of the Anaheim is worth the $400 difference

I agree with many posters about selecting the closest option and avoiding a long walk or shuttling. I've done further away for cost savings and usually regret it - if budget allows to stay closer.

For me, the answer would be yes, if within your overall budget for the trip. My inclination would be to spend a little extra for the convenience given the long lead time you have to plan for the expense, and to increase your overall satisfaction and convenience of the trip. It is just SO much better to be able to easily pop over for a break during the day, and to save your feet and sanity if you stay until closing any nights. This is even more the case for anything more than 2 park days as you tire out :). If you can get to or from the entrance in about 10 minutes on foot, that is the sweet spot for me (and the less time the better ;))

What are the recent reviews saying for all the places you’re debating between? When we stayed at the Anaheim inn, our room had super thin walls. We could hear everything in the rooms on either side. Including hearing our neighbors phone vibrate when they got a texts all night long. We have had friends who have stayed and not had any issues at all. I know they have a lot of different buildings on the property, so maybe we got a not so great building! All I know is we hardly got any sleep and were completely exhausted. And I am not a light sleeper.

I would compare recent reviews. Maybe that will help make a decision? I’m always nervous trying out a new place to stay. It’s a lot of money and so hard to make a decision sometimes!!

I hope you have a great trip.
