hotel help for family of 5

trying to save a little money and not stay onsite this time....has anyone stayed here? Thoughts? Reviews? We will be going on Spring Break in March. We are a family of 5...kids are 14, 12, and 9.

I can't help you with that hotel, but you may also want to look into renting a house or condo through VRBO or another site. They can, usually, be had at great prices and have a full kitchen, so that saves on food, too.

We were able to rent a 4 bed 3.5 bath house with a private pool for $100 a night.

When my family stays off site we have always stayed at the Staybridge Suites, Lake Buena Vista. It is super close to Disney Springs. You can get a one or two bedroom suite with a nice continental breakfast included.

Though I have to say I would never stay off site during Spring Break. The parks are crazy busy, and Extra Magic Hours are very productive, especially the morning ones. I would stay on site and save money other ways, maybe eating some meals in your room or taking food with you into the parks. Pack a cooler and have most of your meals that way.

Buena Vista suites fits larger families and has free parking and free breakfast. We stayed there before our ressie at Windsor Hills. We paid $90 for the night, plus junk fees. Definitely consider a house. For the same price per night as many hotels, you can have actual bedrooms, kitchen, a couple of bathrooms, etc. We rented a 4 bedroom/4 bath with private pool for 2 weeks for 2450- this included all taxes, etc. It averaged like $175 a night- this was a midrange price for this size. We could be on Disney property in 7 minutes (we timed it). Windsor has everything from 2 bedroom condos to 6-8 bedroom houses.

We are a family of 5 and we LOVE Windsor Hills. If you have a car it's only 10 minutes from the Magic Kingdom. There are plenty of grocery stores including a Super Target and restaurants nearby. We save a ton going offsite. I've paid as little as $500 for 7 nights at a 3 bedroom condo.

Friends of mine always stay at Floridays resort. They have nice facilities and suites that are really reasonable.

I'm sure there are a ton of options, like other hotels and house rentals. Have you considered transportation convenience? I know on site is the absolute best option, but Disney Springs hotels have bus service that is quite nice. The Doubletree Guest Suites has suites with 2 queen beds plus a sofa sleeper in the living room, kitchenette, and bus service every 30 minutes. Walk to Crossroads shopping center with some shops and fast food options. Mousesavers usually has specials for there. I've stayed there twice, years ago.

We stayed at that hotel in 2013, on either end of an on site visit.. we weren't terribly impressed at all. Wallpaper peeling, the rooms smelled like old smoke, bathrooms had mold in it (the room we had).

And for 5 of us, at the time the kids were 6,6 and 5, it was crowded. I can't imagine one room with kids the age of yours.
