We are venturing back to Disneyland summer 2016(June or August) for our 10 year anniversary. While at DL a couple weeks ago and right after getting home, we decided on GCH.

After looking at the numbers more closely and reading that GCH has the smallest rooms, onsite, I'm thinking we'll do PPH or go back to DLH.

GCH has an awesome location, and the lobby was absolutely beautiful, but a small room just won't work for our family of 5. Our room at DLH suited us well for our 3 nights there.

How long is the walk from PPH to the parks? Is it pretty comparable to the walk from DLH? Any other things about either PPH or GCH that may sway the decision one way or another?

PPH isn't too much further than DLH (it's actually a shorter walk to DCA if you go through the GCH lobby to the special entrance). Anyway, I love DLH, but PPH is awesome, too. If you can get a room with a resort view, it's gorgeous. I think I'd pick PPH these days over either of the other hotels. We also have a family of 5 and while we haven't stayed at GCH, we have seen the rooms due to friends staying there. They are super small. Our family of 5 would be very tight in there, but when we've been to PPH, the rooms are very nice. It's usually 2 beds and a pull-out if I remember correctly. I would say PPH is better for younger kids while GCH is better for older kids/teenagers and adults.

We just stayed at GCH at the beginning of the month, while some family members stayed at PPH. Our previous two visits were at DLH. We LOVE GCH! As a family of 5, we found the bunk bed room nice. Though smaller than DLH, the proximity, and the serenity of the hotel more than made up for it. Our family that stayed at PPH really disliked the pool. So if you are big pool people, skip PPH. Our first choice from now on will be GCH, followed by DLH. We are big pool people, since our budget isn't allowing either of those for our Aug trip, we decided to skip PPH and stay offsite.
