Please help me!

We need to book our Honeymoon already and are so confused on where to stay! Any advcie? We will be there from 10/11 to 10/21 and can't afford the Grand Floridian...

I am getting very stressed out about this...

Don't get stressed!!!!:D What about a moderate like Port Orleans ? (have heard great review of both) It all depends on your budget really. But try not to stress, planning your honeymoon should be fun! But if it is really too much, you could talk to a travel agent, I'm sure a good Disney specialist could help you!!! Just remeber to enjoy yourself!!princess:

AKL...that's where we will be staying for our honeymoon...we stayed there when we got engaged, and it was very romantic. And if you can get the 7 for 5 deal, it's not that expensive.

check dreams unlimited travel. they have great deals and can help you find the resort that suits you. There are tons of places out there on the net with great deals. You shouldn't have to stress about it! Look at them all on disney.com and pick the one you like. Moderates are very nice and not too expensive especially if you get a package!

I second the vote for AKL. Its a great resort, and has some fantastic restaurant choices!

We're staying at the Wilderness Lodge. We also couldn't afford the GF. We checked it out last week and are very happy. It has a cozy, romantic feel which is what we wanted. We are having dinner at Artist Point after our ceremony.

hope this helps

I have stayed at coronado, and I really liked it there, I am trying to decide now between FQ and Riverside for my honeymoon. I think I may ultimately be leaning toward FQ. The rooms look "fancier" which is something I like in a hotel.
Yeah, I am kinda picky about hotel rooms!! It drives my FH crazy!

Hi Lisa

We are having our honeymoon in December and splashing out for 2 nights at the Grand Floridian (got a very good internet price) and then the rest is at Pop Century.

You don't have to stay in a deluex / moderate resort to have a good honeymoon, you and your new hubby will make it a good honeymoon.

I am a Polynesian freak...so I would say there. It all depends on what kind of atmosphere you want. Tropcial=Polyneisan, Beachy=Boardwalk/Yacht and Beach/Caribbean Beach, Warm and Cozy=Wilderness Lodge. Any of the resorts are really great! Let us know what you choose! Good luck! Megab:earsgirl:

we were on a very tight budget when we got married (married in orlando, just not at WDW)...we stayed at the ASMu and had a great time!

i think that you will be happy with any hotel that you choose...i do have to echo others here though...from what i've seen of POFQ and AKL and even the WL, i think you'd be happy with any of them!

best wishes!!

I would say Wilderness Lodge, that's where we honeymooned :)

It's great because the it's the cheaper of all the Deluxe resorts near MK which is my favorite park but you don't have to pay the extra price to be located on the monorail :)

I loved the WL, the lobby is fantastic also :)

Wow, we'll just miss you. We are leaving on the 11th from our honeymoon. We are staying at Boardwalk Inn.

Just an FYI, if you do a deluxe, the two most expensive are the GF and the Polynesian, and the least expensive is the AKL and the WL. Any moderate woukld do good, but ?Ive heard the best two for a honeymoon are the CBR and the POFQ. Value I would go All Star Movie, Music, or Pop Century.

We are getting married in the UK, and then a week later we are jetting off to stay in the Animal Kingdom Lodge for 2 weeks.
It looks amazing.

Lisa,

My advice to you on fiscally sound (romantic) honeymoon (if you want to stay on WDW property) is to stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Since you are staying 10 days get an annual pass for each of you and get the annual pass rate for the resort. Its a beautiful complex but the down side is no monorail, only bus transportation. My advice is stay at the Aruba Village, Bldg 52 or 53 where you will be close to the bridge to Port Royal. For a moderate hotel, this is the place I would stay at. (matter of fact - I just did!) Check-in is a little slow but the place is nice and inexpensive ($74 Night-Annual Pass Rate)....Good Luck!!!!!!!!

I concur with Port Orleans Riverside. Although its a moderate resort it has a great atmosphere and is actually very nice.

Well here are my recommendations:

AKL - beautiful resort great for honeymooners as it's a little way out and there's lots to do but personally I wouldn't bother unless you are getting a Savannah view and therefore can see all the animals. The pool is wonderful as it the pool bar. Jiko's is a great fine-dining restaurant and Bomas a fun buffet. The bar inside is cozy too.

Wilderness Lodge - Similar to AKL but a little lighter and the lobby is a lot busier because of Whispering Canyon. But there are some great quiet spots and the spa's at night makes this a truly romantic stay. Ask for a lake view and you'll also get to see the Electric Water Pageant from your balcony. Artist Point is a great fine dining restaurant.

Yacht/Beach or Boardwalk - Location Location Location - a much brighter feel to the hotels and rooms - all are well decorated. A Wedding Gazebo view room that over looks the lake at the Yacht is my preference and the balconies are bigger at the Yacht than they are at the Beach. The Boardwalk is great for being in the thick of it but you have to go for a walk to the Boardwalk Bakery to get breakfast snacks if you are staying in the Inn and not the Villas and therefore don't have fridge/microwave etc The quiet pools at the Yacht and the Beach are really quiet as everyone goes to Stormalong Bay.

Caribbean Beach Resort - A good moderate for sure - Aruba is a good location or if you want to be really out of the way then I can also recommend South Trinidad. We recently stayed in Bermuda and that was good too. You will find more children at this resort. The food court is good too.

POFQ - Unlike the others I have recommended I have never stayed here but this would be my choice for a moderate honeymoon resort - it has a more romantic feel to it than the CBR, in my opinion, and is a little more picturesque. Plus you can get the boats to Downtown Disney which i also think is fun.
