Hotel discounts

We are thinking about a short 2 night/3 day stay at US before checking into AKL. We are Disney veterans and this will be our first US trip. Which hotel woul be our best choice if we don't plan on being in the room a lot? Also, I notice there aren't any AAA discounts out right now, when are the discounts available for booking?

Rpr is the least expensive and smallest rooms, so if you just want a place to crash that one is best. Be warned, it will be hard to go from the luxury and pampering of the Loews universal hotels and express pass lines to disney. Most people do the reverse order

AAA rates aren't available online. You either have to book them through calling the Loews site or through AAA.
