Hotel Discounts

Hi All!

I'm just contemplating a disney wedding and trying to see if i can fit it into my budget. I've read that you get discounts on hotel and theme park tickets when you have a disney wedding... can anyone give me info on that?

As part of the wedding packages, the bride and groom get Annual Passes so that is the theme ticket discount.

For an Escape wedding, the only discounts are the ones open to everyone (AAA, etc.)

For a Wishes wedding, the bride and groom (I believe) get their wedding night free if they meet their room block requirements (which vary based on the number of guests you say are coming to your wedding). For the Wishes wedding, there are some minor discounts for guests' accommodations, but if I remember correctly, they are about the same as AAA or other "readily available" discounts.

thanks! so i guess what i read about 30% off the rates was too good to be true then? figures, nothing at disney is cheap!

Well...I may have been wrong.

And found this information for Wishes weddings:

Usually you'll be asked to select three specific hotels for your guests (one Value resort, one Moderate resort and one Deluxe resort) and some rooms will be held at each hotel for your group. Discounts are offered to Wishes Collection participants on the hotel rooms: usually 10% off Value Resorts; 15% off Moderates, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Polynesian; and 30% off Contemporary, Boardwalk, Beach/Yacht Club and Grand Floridian.

So it seems that there is some discounts available for guests!

the discounts for the wishes weddings are great! I'm not sure what it is for the moderates & values, but I know for a fact that the ones at the deluxes are awesome! We got about 30% off at the Boardwalk. Awesome!

it depends on the type of hotel and if they have a convention center in them if they do then its 30 %

Here is the break down that i wrote down in august 07 at our site visit
10% all star resorts
15 % moderate resorts
15 % at wilderness, animal kingdom, pol
30% GF, Yacht club and broadwalk.
