Are there ever any? I see that I can get a better rate through "a travel site";) or directly through Loews than directly through Universal. But do they ever have deals, or are there special discounts available?

I know right now through Universal, u can get free park tickets if u stay onsite for 4 or more nights. that's about it.

The deals are moreso the TIMES you choose to go.

April 13 - June 4, 2008

August 17 - October 2, 2008

November 30 - December 18, 2008

These are Universal's Extra Value Weeks. You can get the on-site hotels for as low as $139/night (Sun-Thur).

If you stay 3 nights or longer during these times, you'll receive special benefits like 2 Simpsons t-shirts, 2 movie tickets and $10 concession voucher for the Universal Cineplex 20, or a $25 Universal Orlando Gift Card, depending on the time you go.

Otherwise, your best bet would be checking for Super Saver Rates if available (for stays of 3 nights or longer), AAA discounts or Annual Passholder discounts. It might be worth it for 1 person to invest in the Annual Pass if it means a good discount on the room, plus food and merchandise discounts, etc.

Hubby actually found out it is cheaper to stay 4 nights on SuperSaver and get tickets separate. Weird eh

Not really cause alot of people here has found it cheaper to do it that away and I am one of them and think I saved hundreds that away :thumbsup2

I find that in package deals, you pay extra for the convenience of not having to go and get stuff yourself.

Speaking of packages. I booked mine and already paid my deposit. Does anyone know, if you cancel it, do they automatically cancel the plane ticket. I mean it's non-refundable, and all I'm planning on doing is prolly booking better rates through another website. The website only says that "Once booked, airline tickets are non-refundable. In the event you make changes or rebook your vacation package, the original airfare paid may be applied toward a new ticket, subject to the airlines’ rules and regulations, as well as the payment of a re-ticketing fee and any differences in airfare amounts. In the event you cancel and do not rebook your vacation package, you will need to make any changes to future travel directly with the airline, subject to its rules and regulations, as well as payment of a re-ticketing fee and any differences in airfare amounts." So, if I cancel could I keep the same ticket and not pay any rebooking? Thanks in advance!!

A few years ago they offered a two year annual pass that we took advantage of. It was basically buy year one - get year two for free or something close to that.

Anything like that available these days?

We have a rate of 144 at the HRH May 18-23 ...We are APH...We called instead of booking online....The APH rate was considerably higher when booking online.
