Hotel between New Orleans and Disney

We are looking for a place somewhere about 4 hours out of Disney (between New Orleans and Walt Disney World) to drive to and stay overnight. That way when we check out we can drive 4 hours to Walt Disney World and check in. Somewhere on the beach would be nice. Any Ideas. Thanks.

I would think that Daytona Beach or Jacksonville would be a good spot, however, that takes you further east than you may want to go....

Just a couple of ideas.

We have friends that do this drive regularly. Some times they do it non-stop. But now that they have kids, the most often stop in the Ocala area. But you could do as well stopping around the point where I-10 and I-75 intersect.

3 hours out of Disney is the Lake City area. Get off I-10 and onto southbound I-75 and the first exit is US90 and there are a lot of chain hotels there. Microtel is a good value, as is Country Inn and Suites. A bit earlier on your drive would be the Live Oak exit while stil on I-10, where there is a Holiday Inn Express.

Ocala is really only about a 1 hour or so from Disney.
