I am staying in London for 5 nights next summer, end of July. I am overwhelmed by the choice and prices. I would like to stay near a tube and near tourists stuff and a grocery store.. Any hidden gems from locals would be appreciated. We are a family of 3 and would not like to pay more than 80 pounds a night. Thanks for any help.

There is a smallish hotel called the Sumner Hotel which gets fantastic reviews.
I think it is close to Marble Arch.

The prices are not over the top and I understand they can put an extra "put up" bed in a twin room to accommodate a third person.

My friend was telling me about a website called london nights which does good rates for hotels. I haven't personally used it but i remember her mentioning it.

We stayed at the Euro Hotel near Russell Square tube.

It was a really nice hotel, clean and the staff couldn't do enough for you.

The breakfast was freshly cooked and you also got cereal, toast, juice etc.

Can't remember how much we paid for a triple room, sorry.
