Hotel advice

we we be in Disneyland August 2016. We were there 2 years ago and stayed at the hojo. We loved the hotel but thought the walk was too long. We didn't use the pool or waterpark so that's not a factor. What hotels would you recommend comparable to the hojo with a shorter walk?

There is the Fairfield Inn right across the street.

Also look at the Candy Cane Inn. They are about 10 minutes walk away (depends on the signal), have a private shuttle, free cont. breakfast, and great customer service. If you have AAA or an AP, there is a discount.

Best Western Park Place Inn is right at the crosswalk to the Disney entrance and is considered a favorite by many on here.
Tropicana Inn is also close , Carousel Inn and Suites both are closer than HoJo as well.

I feel Candy Cane is just as far as HoJo but they do offer a free private shuttle as mentioned before.

Park Vue Inn is also right across the street we love it! Free breakfast and parking its a motel type with outside corridors but it was clean and right at the crosswalk
