We are planning on going by coach to DLP in either Feb or April.

2 other adult members of the family have asked me to get them a price for coming along too.

Can you let me know our options for travelling with 4 adults and 2 children? As I understand it the Disney hotels only hold 4 people per room - is that right?

We've booked The Explorers as they have rooms which accommodate up to 6 (and also rooms which accommodate 10). It's a standard room with the addition of a bunk 'cabin' which sleep two children. I'm looking forward to staying there as I really like the look of the place and I know the kids will love the pool and my youngest will appreciate the play areas! The best price (by far!) I found for The Explorers was at www.benotel.com where you can reserve the room (and have it confirmed) but you don't pay till you check in. They have a really great Rates Page which shows the exact rates for every single night so if you're any way flexible you can save a packet by checking in a day later or earlier than planned. If you go here you'll see the info on it and the Rates link is at the bottom.

We've stayed in a few Disney hotels in Orlando and loved them! However, the ones in DP that accommodate the 5 of us are too expensive. You could ask for adjoining rooms but they won't guarantee it and anyway as I said I love what I've read of the facilities at The Explorers. Good luck!! :)

loobymiss, have a look at this thread here discussing family rooms.

I haven't merged your thread with that one as the OP on that thread didn't want to stay at the Explorers.

We have just stayed at the Explorers for the fourth time and find it very clean and comfortable. The rooms accommodating 6 have one room with a double bed and two singles with a separate cabin room with bunk beds. The rooms for 10 have another room with a double and two singles the other side of the cabin room. The bonus with the rooms for 10 is that you will have two bathrooms. Don't know if your coach company is Leger, but they use this hotel a lot as we saw them booking people in every night and I must say they seem to look after them very well.

As posted on the other thread, your other alternatives are family rooms at the Disneyland Hotel and Newport Bay, or the Marriott (however if you are travelling by coach you would need to find out if your coach company went there.)

Thanks you very much.

The coach company does use Newport and Explorers so I will look into that thanks.

I'm not sure if I fancy sharing my room with 2 other adults though!! lol. I might have to send them to the bunk beds area!!!!
