Hotel about an hour outside of Disney?

We will be driving down from NC. We would like to stay someplace nice but not too $$$ about 1 hour outside of Disney and then finish off our drive the next morning to hit Disney early.

What town? Any specific hotel recommendations? One with a breakfast buffet would be nice.

There is a nice Holiday Inn Expess in the Lake Mary Area near Sanford and just off I-4. It is approximately an hour away. They have a continental breakfast available.

Trying to decide between flying and driving. $80 makes me lean toward driving.

Use Expedia or Travelocity and search for Altamonte Springs, FL. That's an hour or less, depending on traffic and there are a ton of easy to get to "brand name" hotels and motels right off I-4.

If you want to go about 90 minutes North you can look in the Daytona (not Daytona Beach) area.

I don't know - Southwest has some great rates for our trip $49 one way....

remember that gas prices are going down and hopefully for a couple of months will stay down.

Thanks for the tip. I thought Daytona was more like 2 hours away? Maybe I was looking at Daytona Beach. I will look into it.
