"Hot Tubs"/Spas

If you stayed at a pool home are the "hot tubs" actually heated to normal hot tub temperatures? It looks like they are sharing the water with the pool, so it is just basically a place to sit in the pool with a few jets? Or is it actually heated to normal temps a hot tub would be at?

The one we had did get pretty hot, not over 100, but still quite toasty. It went through a cycle where after a while the water would rise and pour into the pool, heating it. We were there in January and used it every evening.

Be sure to ask!...Apparantly it is not the norm down there for the "spa" to be heated at a higher temp than the pool. However, we did find some that were heated separately from the pool and were more like a hot tub. We ended up renting a home where the spa was heated to 104 degrees and when the spa heat was on, the water does not spill over into the pool during that time. It was great...So just be sure you inquire about both pool and spa heat. We were there in March of this year and would not have used the spa if it wasn't warm enough...Enjoy!
